a-ma-zing!

do do do doooooo!! (that's a trumpet)

yup.. that's our apartment.. the stone one on the corner. We're pretty sure it's either just the top or just the bottom, not both, but we don't really know. Nice windows, eh? And, yes, that is the cathedral that was destroyed way back when, just a few short steps down the block. It's pretty amazing how God provides. We still have no idea what the inside looks like, but we did hear that we might even be getting a washer AND dryer in our new kitchen - whoa. That has been a dream of mine for quite a while now.. to wash our clothes in our own home.

We really want to thank everyone who has been praying for us. We know there are a lot of you and praise the Lord for how He answers! We're on to the next step now of getting our visas, which should hopefully be much less painful that getting Ian's passport...

The Unbelievable Day

Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, was a little house. This little house was in a great location, really close to a wonderful coffe shop, a view of the local castle, even near the food market. The little house loved this location because there were always so many people around to watch. The little house was a very friendly house. It's bedroom was a little small, but it made up for it with a walk-in closet.. It's kitchen was a little old, but it is due for a makeover.. And, it's living room has big, beautiful windows. The little house was really hoping that it would find somebody to live in it that would make it into a wonderful home and bring it life.

Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, lived a young man with his wife. This young man had decided to take his wife to a land far, far away so that he could get an outstanding education, and maybe one day, change the world. Well, they bought their plane tickets and were getting ready to go, but they still had no where to live. They were sad about this and kept hoping and hoping that some little house somwhere would want them. Then one day they awoke with a start to loud barking downstairs. They ran downstairs to find that the Fedex man had delivered the young man's passport! They celebrated wonderfully, knowing that they could now go to the far, far away land, but still had no where to live. They made many phone calls, and were always disappointed until they made one final phone call, at the very end of the day. They talked and talked and finally, they had a home. They were more excited about this than anything else.. a place to call home!

The little house was so happy to know that it would soon be a home. The young man and his wife were so happy to know that they now had a home. Someday soon, the man and his wife will fly away and live in their little home.

What an unbelievable day.

One down, two to go...

Ok. It's official. We are leaving our country tis of thee on September 3rd. Labor Day. We purchased the surprisingly inexpensive tickets at 1-ish in the am this morning. Now all we need is a passport and a final destination. Here is a possibility of what could very likely be our final destination...

So cute! :) Hopefully we'll have pictures of the inside tomorrow and it might be ours by the end of the week. Hooray!

Speaking of hooray, I was reading an article today that used that word and it was spelled hurray. Who ever heard of spelling it like that? I thought it was kind of weird.

Everyone pray that Ian's passport comes soon!!!

Something has changed!!!!!

The happy couple you see here is now officially two years in the making! That's right folks... We have come upon our two year anniversary. Hooray!! It has been a wonderful two years too :) Who would have thought we'd be kicking off our third year with 'a venture across the pond'??? We were talking about making some heart shaped pancakes today, so if we do, we'll be sure to document our culinary skills to show the world what we're made of. No other updates except that we're still in the same in between state we were a few days ago...

Here's a picture of me trying to figure out how to take a picture with the little camera... nice.

where to begin?

well... i haven't the slightest idea how to explain everything that has happened over the last however long it's been. It's been as crazy as i've ever known it to be. so crazy that i can't even capitalize the appropriate letters. anyway.. a lot has happened, we're moving on and almost know where we're going to live, we're about to buy our plane tickets and we almost have our visas. so, even though we're no where for sure, we're a lot closer to being somewhere for sure and that feels good!
