I don't know if I've ever cooked any other Paula Deen recipes! I may have to look into that.. I know she's known for her use of butter, but I've never heard from anyone that's used her recipes regularly. BUT, she also has a ham and green onion quiche that she makes with a hashbrown crust instead of pie crust that i substitute in. Now I really hate to tell you this, but perhaps you will handle it better with a warning: American cream is AWFUL. I have been utterly disappointed with it at every turn. But perhaps I'm not doing it right.
