I could certainly identify with many elements of your birth story - our third was similarly born a year ago during Thanksgiving week and was our first American hospital birth. Thanks for posting; it's always great to hear about you and your family. - AmberAmberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02720031825662834663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229977962114732865.post-47204526038846042582013-12-11T16:31:12.392-06:002013-12-11T16:31:12.392-06:00Thank you so much for taking the time to read and ...Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment! Generally once I explained, people were happy to give me more information. Someone else mentioned Aslan to me, and I love that. It hadn't even crossed my mind before, but it's another great way to think of the name.Corriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09908493594301010911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229977962114732865.post-30798778073425083522013-12-11T15:42:28.303-06:002013-12-11T15:42:28.303-06:00Thank you Kristin! I'm so glad your sister and Samuel are both well and recovering! And, yes, it's weird because my attention is so divided, but it's like every squish, cuddle, sniff, whimper, whatever, is tinier and sweeter (or maybe more appreciated) than the last time :). We don't know two other people in this world who would be better role models and parents for Ari and Asher and Aed than the two of you. Please keep in touch with us and see us when you can. If you need anything, let us know. If we have it, you have it. We also will try to be good role models for your wonderful family. We are expecting our fourth and it is nice to read someone else's first American birth story. It is funny to feel so out of my element figuring out the medical system with a fourth babe.

I love the name and when you said it meant lion I loved it even more - reminds me of Aslan and his gentle strength. We know that three boys are fun, so enjoy and find breaks for yourself!Watkinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07798318274262704272noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7229977962114732865.post-24226408709983532452013-12-07T15:23:24.294-06:002013-12-07T15:23:24.294-06:00I loved every word, Corrie! But I'm so glad all the prayers for you were answered in a safe and natural birth. (My sister developed pre-eclampsia and ended up with a C-section on Nov 21, so the puffiness and high blood pressure were familiar concerns. She, of course, did not want a C-section either, but thankfully she is recovering well and her little Samuel is safe and healthy just like Ari. :-)) I love his name, and all the hopes you have poured into it. So happy to see you all enjoying your sweet 3rd. There's just something wonderful about that 3rd newborn! The Egan Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10627952476114893850noreply@blogger.com
