My Eggo’s Preggo

Thank you, Juno, for giving us an abundance of quotes to enjoy about pregnancy. If you haven’t seen it, please do, it’s a great film.

It is indeed my eggo that’s preggo! Just like our moms and teachers.. (sidenote: don’t be confused, those are both Juno quotes) And, guess what?? Today.. They took a picture of my guts! And they found a baby! We were pretty happy about that :)

Here’s a picture of our 12 weeks and 1 day old ‘wee bambino’ as our midwife lovingly referred to it all day :) Oh, and you can click on the images, like always, to see them bigger on your screen..

And here are some specifics..

You’ll note the large head.. Ian is pretty sure this is because it’s a genius. I can’t decide when to break the news to him..

Also the little tiny itty bitty heart! It was just flickering away while that little baby squirmed. And, the midwife told us that she could see its stomach and bladder.. we told her she should go back to night school in Mantino and learn a real trade! (Juno quote.. again.. I’m telling you there are just so many!) Just kidding – we loved ALL the midwives we met :) but we couldn’t really make those out on the screen. I still gave them an arrow, since they’re there and all..

And the cute little feetsies! There were arms too, but you can’t see them in this picture.

We are just thanking the Lord for a healthy baby and are looking forward to our 20 week scan! Then we can let you know if we have a Sally or a Sam hangin out in there!

Praise the Lord for such a breathtaking thing as new life!

  3. But what about fingernails? Does the baby have fingernails yet?

We're really pumped for you two! I think you should refer to the baby as "Junebug" or "Bleeker" until you know the gender, and maybe even after that..."Bleeker Church" has a ring to it, but of course "Presbyterian" would be a much better name for your child.
